Russell Domingo steps down as Bangladesh coach after Test series loss against India

After their 2-0 loss against India in the Test series, Bangladesh Head Coach Russell Domingo has resigned with immediate effect.

Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed the development to Cricbuzz.com and the cricket body is hopeful of appointing a new head coach before the England series in March.

The South African, who took over as Bangladesh's head coach in September 2019, was originally supposed to stay on till the 2023 ODI World Cup. 

Under his guidance, Bangladesh won its first-ever Test in New Zealand, won ODI series against South Africa & India as well T20I series against Australia & New Zealand at home.
