Rohit Sharma-led Team India on Thursday departed for Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022, starting October 16.

The Men in Blue open their campaign against Arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 and will play two warm-up T20s against hosts Australia and New Zealand October 17th and October 19th respectively ahead of the group stage games.

India, who was champions of the inaugural edition in 2007, bowed out of the last edition in 2021 in the group stage itself. But the subcontinental giants go into the event high on confidence, having won 2 consecutive T20I series after a poor Asia Cup 2022 campaign.
