Former PCB chief Ramiz Raja feels that it was after a bad show against Pakistan that Team India decided to make changes to their team.

"We gave outstanding performances in white-ball cricket. We played the Asia Cup final, India didn't play that. India, a billion-dollar industry, was left behind. Tod phod hui, unhone apna chief selector, selection committee fire kar di, captain badal diye kyunki unko hazam nahi hua ki Pakistan unse kaise aage nikal gaya." Ramiz Raja said in an interview

It was under Raja's tenure that Pakistan managed to register their 1st World cup win against India as well.

Pakistan reached the finals of the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup this year but ended up as runners-up on both occasions.
