PCB to target BCCI's IPL plan in next ICC meet

The rise and rise of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is not going down well with the Pakistan Cricket Board. PCB chief Ramiz Raja has decided to challenge the proposed two-and-a-half-month IPL window at the next ICC meet.

"We will challenge it in a very forceful manner and put our point across strongly in the ICC," PCB chief said.

He also stated that if any development is taking place in world cricket, then it will affect them too.

Earlier, BCCI secretary Jay Shah had said that the IPL will get an extended window in the ICC's next Future Tours Programme (FTP) cycle starting from 2024 that runs till 2031.

Notably, the IPL recently became the second biggest league in the world after its media rights fetched a whopping Rs 48,390 crore for the next 5-year cycle.
