PAK vs NZ: Kane Williamson hits double hundred after relinquishing captaincy in Tests

In his first innings after giving up Test captaincy, New Zealand batter Kane Williamson recorded his 5th double-ton in Test cricket, scoring 200 not out against Pakistan in Karachi.

Having completed his hundred on day 3, Williamson along with his overnight partner Ish Sodhi, put together a 159-run stand for the 7th wicket. Sodhi made a career-best 65 as the visitors took a 174 lead.

New captain Tim Southee declared after Williamson got to the landmark, with the score reading 612 in reply to Pakistan's first-innings score of 438.
