Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been formally invited to the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22. Dhoni received this prestigious invitation at his Ranchi home on January 15. This invitation comes only days after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were also invited to the eagerly anticipated event.

Dhananjay Singh, the co-province secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), extended the invitation to Dhoni, with BJP's State Organization General Secretary Karmaveer Singh present at the time.

Alongside Dhoni, Tendulkar and Kohli, other star Indian athletes, including Neeraj Chopra and PV Sindhu, are also expected to receive invitations to the ceremony.
