South Africa came into the 2nd Test on the back of a dominating victory in Centurion and after winning the toss, it was expected to be a run fest on a batting-friendly Day 1 in Cape Town.
But Mohammed Siraj had other plans.
He ran riot in Newlands and breached the Proteas wall in his first spell itself. Having taken 3 wickets in his first 7 overs, Siraj opted for an extended spell and completed his 3rd Test 5-wicket-haul in a sensational 8th over.
He didn't stop there and finished with figures of 6/15 in 9 overs, bowling all in one go. As a result, the hosts were blown away for a mere 55, their lowest Test total vs India.
Siraj has now made it a habit of completing the job all on his own. First, he did it in the Asia Cup final, then in the ODI World Cup game against Sri Lanka and now he decimated the Proteas in their own backyard.
