Having qualified for the playoffs in their very first IPL, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have put faith in the majority of their players as they retained 15 of them ahead of the auction in December.

Manish Pandey's omission from retained players' list seems to be an obvious one after his lacklustre show in IPL 2022. Among the 7 players released by the franchise, West Indians Jason Holder, Evin Lewis and Sri Lankan pacer Dushmantha Chameera were the other big names released by LSG.
