India's first world cup-winning captain Kapil Dev isn't too happy with Indian captain Rohit Sharma's returns with the bat.
Taking a dig at Rohit's form in the 2022 IPL, the Indian legend said that if one player doesn't score a fifty in 14 matches, questions will be raised be it Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli or Sunil Gavaskar.
Rohit had a below-par IPL 2022 season, but in international cricket the Hitman has had a few decent outings for India in the past year. Rohit had scores of 48, 55 and 56 against New Zealand in his first series as India's full-time captain. It was followed by an average run against the West Indies. Against Sri Lanka, he gave opportunities to young batters and pushed himself down the batting order.

In Tests, Rohit has become a vital part of the lndian line-up. It was his fantastic 127-run knock in the second innings at The Oval that helped India take a 2-1 lead against England last year.
And the onus will be on the Indian skipper once again when Team India lock horns with Ben Stokes' side in the rescheduled fifth Test, where a victory will ensure a first series win for India in England since 2007.
