England fast bowler Jofra Archer has been named in the England squad for the ODI series against South Africa early next year.

The 27-year-old had to undergo surgeries on his elbow before a stress fracture of the back delayed his return to the national team. He will be making a return to the side after almost a 2-year gap, and he last played for England in a T20I against India in March 2021.

Meanwhile, Reece Topley, who injured himself right before England's opening T20 World Cup game, is also back. Ben Duckett & Harry Brook have been rewarded for their Test performances, earning themselves a place in the squad as well.

England will lock horns with South Africa in a 3-match ODI series that starts on January 27.

England squad: Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Olly Stone, Reece Topley, David Willey, Chris Woakes
