England ace pacer Jofra Archer is finally ready to make his comeback it seems. MI Cape Town named the 27-year-old as their wildcard signing for the inaugural edition of the SA20 league which is set to begin in January next year.

The long-standing injury in the elbow followed by a stress fracture in the lower back had kept Archer out of competitive cricket since March 2021.

For the last 2 weeks, Archer has been in UAE as a part of the England Lions’ training squad. He returned to action after 16 months, while playing in a practice match against England's main team in Abu Dhabi ahead of England's Pakistan tour.

Despite his injury, Archer was signed by Mumbai Indians in the last IPL auction for Rs 8 crore. The franchise has retained him for the 2023 season.
