Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is set to be ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup due to a back injury.

The BCCI selectors are set to announce the Indian squad and looks like India’s pace spearhead won’t be a part of it. According to news agency PTI, BCCI don’t want to risk Bumrah ahead of the T20 World Cup.

The Indian pacer last featured for India in their ODI series victory over England. Bumrah is expected to undergo rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru ahead of the home series against Australia & South Africa.

Currently, the Indian pacers are on a holiday in the United States. India are already sweating on Harshal Patel's fitness, who might not even recover from a side strain in time for the T20 World Cup. And, they simply can’t afford to take a chance with Bumrah’s fitness now.
