IPL 2022 Auctions: Full list of all players retained, purse remaining, Live stream, time & venue

With 2 new teams Ahmedabad and Lucknow, this time the much-awaited Indian Premier League will be a 10 team affair.

The date for the mega IPL auctions is set as the high-profile franchisees who have already retained their best players now prepare to use up the remaining purse to find the best pick.

As per the BCCI, each team has a salary cap of Rs 90 crore and was only allowed to retain a maximum of 4 players. However, the 2 new teams could pick only 3 players. Here's a look at how much each team has already spent and how much will they be able to splash on Feb 12th and 13th when the mega auctions will take place in Bengaluru:

Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions used all 4 spots to save Ravindra Jadeja (16 cr), skipper MS Dhoni(12 cr), Moeen Ali (8 cr) and Ruturaj Gaikwad(6 cr) for themselves.

They are left with 48 crores.  

Mumbai Indians

The Rohit Sharma led-team that boasts the maximum number of IPL trophies brought back their skipper Rohit Sharma (16 cr), Jasprit Bumrah (12 cr), Suryakumar Yadav (8 cr), and Kieron Pollard(6 cr)

They are also left with the same amount as CSK, 48 crore.

Delhi Capitals

Rishabh Pant was the most expensive pick for DC at 16 cr. They further retained Axar Patel (12 cr), Prithwi Shaw(7.5 cr) and Anrich Nortje (6.5 cr)   

Delhi has 47.5 crore to spend at the mega auctions.

Kolkata Knight Riders

They also retained 4 players. Andre Russell for 12 cr, Venkatesh Iyer and Varun Chakravarthy for 8 cr each and SunilNarine for 6. KKR has 48 crores.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB is left with 57 crore after retaining Virat Kohli for 15 crore, Glenn Maxwell at 11 cr and M. Siraj for 7 cr.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Looking to refresh their complete squad, SRH has the 2nd biggest purse to flaunt at the mega auctions. SRH has 68 crores after retaining Kane Williamson for 14 cr, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad each for 4 crore.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals retained 3 players. Uncapped Yashasvi Jaiswal Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler for 4, 14 and 10 crore respectively. They now have 62 crore in their purse. 

Punjab Kings

With the biggest purse, Punjab has only spent 18 crores to retain Mayank Aggarwal(14 cr) and Arshdeep Singh(4 cr). They have a balance of 72 cr.

Lucknow Super Giants

The newest IPL team Lucknow Super Giants drafted KL Rahul for 17 crore, Marcus Stoinis for 9.2 crore and Ravi Bishnoi for 4 crore. They are left with 59 crore. 

The Ahmedabad team

Another addition to this year is Ahmedabad which picked Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan for 15 crore each. They also picked Shubhman Gill for 8 crore. They have 59 crore left in their purse for the mega auction.
