India was the favourite to win Gold in men's cricket and Ruturaj Gaikwad and his men lived up to the billing.
The final was washed out with Afghanistan at 112/5 in 18.2 overs and India was awarded with the gold medal
The rule states that If the final gets abandoned, the higher seeded team takes Gold.
What made the feat special was the fact that it was India's first-ever medal in cricket at the Asiad and that happened when the Men in Blue made their debut in the competition.
