India continued to dominate the Windies as the hosts win the 1st T20I by 6 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Rohit Sharma's decision to bowl first proved right as India restricted the visitors to 157/7. Nicholas Pooran fought hard with a 43-ball-61 but Ravi Bishnoi impressed on his debut with 2/17 in 4 overs.

Rohit then put the Hitman mode on and smashed a 19-ball-40. But a middle-order collapse saw India being reduced to 114/4 in 14.3 overs. But Suryakumar Yadav stood tall and smashed an unbeaten 18-ball-34. Venkatesh Iyer also stayed till the end and scored 24 not out off 13 balls.

India will now look to seal the series in the 2nd T20I on February 18.
