The BCCI on Friday named Mohammed Siraj as a replacement for an injured Jasprit Bumrah in Team India's squad for the remaining 2 T20 internationals vs South Africa.
Until recently, Siraj was playing County cricket and also took a 5-wicket-haul on his debut for Warwickshire on September 13.
Bumrah was ruled out due to a back stress fracture and though he won't require surgery, the pacer is likely to be out for 4-6 months. This ultimately means that Bumrah will miss the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.
The remaining 2 T20Is vs South Africa are due to be played on Sunday and Tuesday in Guwahati and Indore respectively.
