South Africa thrashed India by 7 wickets in the 2nd Test to level the 3-match Test series 1-1. With that, the Proteas also handed the visitors their first-ever Test match defeat at the Wanderers.

India needed 8 wickets to win on the 4th Day but after rain consumed most part of the day, South African batters came out all guns blazing. KL Rahul looked clueless as India managed to pick just 1 wicket. Dean Elgar led from the front and guided his side to a historic win with an unbeaten 96.

Indian bowlers gave away 25 extras as the hosts chased down 240 with ease. The series-deciding 3rd Test will be played in Cape Town from January 11.
