In their successful quest of clinching the 3-match T20I series against Australia on Sunday, Rohit Sharma-led Team India also broke arch-rivals Pakistan's record for the most T20I wins in a calendar year.
The thrilling 6-wicket win in the series decider was India's 21st win in 2022 in the shortest format of the game. The Men in Blue have won 21 out of the 28 games they have played this year, the most T20I wins by a team in a calendar year.

The record-breaking win saw India leave behind Pakistan who had won 20 T20I games last year. After winning the 3-match series 2-1 against Australia, India will now face South Africa starting 28th September.
