Suryakumar Yadav continued to close in on the number 1 spot in ICC T20I rankings for batters as he brought the gap down to 16 rating points between him and Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan.
Though Rizwan continues to lead the chart but Suryakumar Yadav is at the 2nd spot with 838 rating points and is quickly closing the gap, thanks to a consistent show for Team India.
Surya has been in prolific form and smashed 2 half-centuries in 3 games in the last T20 series vs South Africa. Rizwan too is in great touch and finished as the highest run-getter in Pakistan's 7-match T20 series vs England.
India opener KL Rahul also jumped 3 spots to 14th following a great series vs South Africa, where he scored 108 runs in 2 T20Is.
