On a rank turner, Rishabh Pant played two counter-attacking innings in the second Test between India and Sri Lanka at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

India vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah heaped praises on Pant for playing his natural game and said one can't teach everyone to play in the same manner.

"Pant has backed his strengths and that is the tempo he plays at. We understand that. But at the same time, he is learning a lot and getting more experience. As a team, we will continue to help him go forward," Bumrah added.

Pant played two blistering quickfire knocks in the Bengaluru pink-ball Test. He even went on to score the fastest Test fifty for India, breaking Kapil Dev's long-standing record. In the first innings, Pant scored 39 off 26 balls as the Indian top-order failed to negotiate the spin.
