Greg Barclay has been re-appointed as ICC Chairman for his second 2-year term. The administrator from New Zealand has been in office since 2020. He was unanimously elected after his counterpart Zimbabwe's Tavengwa Mukuhlani withdrew his name from the process.
"It is an honour to be re-elected as the Chair of the International Cricket Council and I would like to thank my fellow ICC Directors for their support," said Barclay after his appointment.
“Over the last two years we have made significant strides forward with the launch of our global growth strategy that provides clear direction to build a successful and sustainable future for our sport." he further added.
Barclay was previously the Chair of New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and was a director of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2015.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah has also been selected as the head of ICC's Financial and Commercial Affairs committee. Shah will be responsible for many major financial policy decisions taken by the committee which are later ratified by the ICC.
