The visas of some of the members of the Indian women's cricket team who will be playing in the debut T20I competition at the Commonwealth Games have been delayed.

Even a couple of days before their departure, at least 6 members of the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian contingent hadn’t received their visas. The Women in Blue have been training in Bangalore before leaving for Birmingham on Sunday.

Informing that out of the 6, 3 are players and 3 are support staff, an IOA official said that the BCCI is trying to resolve the issue. He further added that the delay was due to the summer rush and 'the UK visas are taking time'.

BCCI had announced a 15-member squad for the quadrennial event which is scheduled to begin on July 28th. India will play their first game on July 29 against Australia.
