The Indian women’s hockey team managed to sneak into the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games after edging Canada 3-2 in a closely-fought contest.
India had taken a 2-0 lead, thanks to goals from Salima Tete & Navneet Kaur but the tide turned when Canada managed to level the scores at 2-2 in the third quarter.
However, Lalremsiami scored on the rebound from a penalty corner in the fourth quarter to give India the lead.

It was a must-win match for the Women in Blue, and they’re through to the semis, where they will face the 2018 Silver medalists Australia
