Defending Champions India had to settle for silver in the badminton mixed team event.

The Indian side led by shuttlers PV Sindhu & Kidambi Srikanth were beaten 3-1 by Malaysia in the Gold medal match. Ace shuttler PV Sindhu was the only one who won her match.

The men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty, along with women’s doubles pair of Teresa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand failed to win a single game against their opponents.
