Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Modi government on issues ranging from farmers to suspension of Opposition MPs.

Addressing a Congress parliamentary party meeting, Sonia Gandhi called the suspension of 12 MPs “unprecedented and unacceptable”. She added that Congress stands in solidarity with the suspended MPs.

The suspended members of Parliament from Rajya Sabha comprise six from the Congress, two each from Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena, and one each from the CPI and the CPM.
