Shreyas Iyer returns to IPL after missing first-leg, praises Rishabh Pant's captaincy

Shreyas Iyer finally got off the ground after missing the first leg of the cash-rich Indian Premier League due to a shoulder injury on Wednesday in Delhi's first match of the 2nd leg of IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 26-year-old top-order batter who scored 47 off 41 crossed the mark of 4000 T20 runs in Delhi's comfortable 8 wicket victory.

Iyer who had to give away his skipping duties to young gun Rishabh Pant praised the 23-year-old's captaincy and went on to say that there is no drastic change and he is now able to focus more on his batting skills.

Cricket fans congratulated India International for his successful return and heaped praises after he amassed 4000 T20 runs. While some netizens called him consistent others felt he was one of the most underrated Indian players.  DC will next face Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
