The Kerala high court has issued an interim stay on the controversial reforms enforced in Lakshadweep.
The high court stayed the administrator Praful Khoda Patel's order to close dairy farms and to avoid non-vegetarian items including beef from the midday meals in schools.
It has been clearly stated in the interim stay order of the high court that no further action should be taken on both these controversial reforms until counter-affidavit is filed.
The order was issued by the bench including the chief justice while considering a PIL filed by Lakshadweep native Ajmal Ahammed against the moves of Patel, who has served as a minister in the BJP government in Gujarat.
The high court will again considered the PIL next week.
