The race to shoot the first film in space seems to be getting tougher, as Russia has now entered the race, months after Tom Cruise made the announcement.
Russia on Friday revealed that they have chosen actress Yulia Peresild and filmmaker Klim Shipenko who will blast off in a Russian rocket from Baikonur cosmodrome on October 5 to shoot their first film in space.
Reportedly, Russia mounted a rival production last year, shortly after Cruise confirmed his plans to go into low Earth orbit, backed by NASA and Elon Musk.
