Good news for Delhiites. There may be relief in sight from the dry, dusty and hot spell that is currently scorching the national Capital. The weather department has predicted that the terrible spell is going to last a couple of more days and relief is liekly from June 12 when rain is expected in the Capital. Winds carrying dust from the Thar Desert are blowing over Delhi, Haryana and parts of Uttar Pradesh leading to a plunge in the air quality, the weather department has said. Delhi's air quality dipped into "poor" category after a long spell of good air due to the Covid lockdown.
CPCB’s hourly average recordings show that around 7pm, the pollution levels at two monitoring stations -- Chandni Chowk and ITO -- had already touched the “very poor” zone.
