Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SoC launched: key features and specs

Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform, a follow-on to the flagship Snapdragon 865 Plus, which features an enhanced Qualcomm Kryo 585 CPU prime core clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz. The new Snapdragon 870, based on 7nm process technology includes Adreno 650 GPU that promises increased performance across the board for geared-up gameplay with Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences. The new chipset also features X55 5G Modem-RF System and the Qualcomm FastConnect 6800 Subsystem. With 5G and Wi-Fi 6 capabilities, Snapdragon 870 should deliver high speeds, increased capacity, and widespread accessibility. Qualcomm has confirmed that Snapdragon 870 will power a selection of flagship devices from major smartphone makers including Motorola, iQOO, OnePlus, OPPO, and Xiaomi.
