Punjab Elections 2022: Amarinder Singh formally announces alliance with BJP

Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh has formally announced an alliance between his party, Punjab Lok Congress and the BJP. 

The announcement came after he met BJP's Punjab in-charge Gajendra Singh Sekhawat in Delhi. 

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Amarinder Singh said that discussions on seat sharing are still on but he is confident of the winnability of their alliance.

Speculations were rife about an alliance between the former Congress leader and the BJP after he was removed as chief minister of Punjab.
