PUBG Mobile's comeback in India under a new moniker, called PUBG: New State, is waiting on the government's go ahead. To recall, PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September 2020 due to its relationship with Chinese publisher Tencent, but has since been taken over by Korean publisher Krafton. A representative from Krafton told online publication SportsKeeda that the company is waiting for the Indian government's consideration before announcing their plan for an India launch. Meanwhile, the game is available for pre-registration on the Play Store and App Store worldwide, but Indian users cannot pre-register yet.
