Price of DRDO’s anti-Covid drug fixed at ₹990 per sachet

Dr Reddy’s has fixed the price of the Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) 2DG anti-Covid drug at ₹990 per sachet. However, the central and state government hospitals would be given the medicine at a discount.

The second batch of 10,000 sachets of 2DG drug would be issued on May 27 by Dr Reddy’s Lab.Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh along with Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had launched the first batch of the anti-COVID drug on May 17.

Earlier this month, the Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) approved the drug for emergency use as an adjunct therapy in moderate to severe Covid cases.
