Manchester United suffered their maiden loss of the season in front of the home fans as they went down fighting to Aston Villa by a solitary goal. After getting many chances to score at home, United led Cristiano Ronaldo failed to break through Villa's strong defence.
The 2nd half too saw the same story repeat as both teams kept a water tight defence till Kortney Hause broke the deadlock in the 88th minute of play.
Bruno Fernandes got an opportunity to bring United back in the game and force Aston Villa to settle for a draw but he missed the penalty and that handed the visitors all three points with a 1-0 scorecard. 1st loss for United this season as they slumped to the 4th spot while Aston Villa moved up to 7th in the Premier League.
