Precautionary dose to be same as the vaccine taken before: Govt

The govt on Wednesday announced that the precautionary dose will be the same as the Covid-19 vaccine take earlier. 

Precautionary dose will be available to all healthcare and frontline workers from January 10. People who are above 60 years and have co-morbidities will also be given an additional dose of the Covid-19 vaccine

Dr VK Paul, the head of govt's Covid-19 task force said that those who have been administered Covishield as the primary vaccine will be given the same as a precautionary dose. The same will apply to those who have been inoculated using Covaxin.

The Prime Minister had announced the roll out of vaccines for children aged 15-18 and, precaution doses for frontline workers, healthcare workers and those above 60 on December 25.
