The Prime Minister’s address comes at a time when a fresh wave of Covid-19 batters India and the infections are rising by record numbers everyday. The acute oxygen shortage is a cause of great concern across states with hospitals sending SOS for urgent supply of the lifesaving gas. On Saturday, India recorded 3,46,786 fresh cases of Covid-19 in a new daily high and 2,624 deaths.
