PM Modi, Sonia Gandhi pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on birth anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 152nd birth anniversary. 

The Prime Minister visited Rajghat to pay tributes to the Father of Nation on Saturday morning. He also took to Twitter on the occasion and wrote that Mahatma Gandhi's noble principles are globally relevant and give strength to millions.

Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi also paid tributes to Bapu at Rajghat. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kerjiwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia also visited the memorial. 

PM Modi and Sonia Gandhi also visited Vijay Ghat to pay their respects to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary.  The PM wrote on Twitter that Shastri's value and principles based life will always be an inspiration for the people of the country.
