PM Modi's trusted aide, ex-IAS officer AK Sharma made UP BJP Vice President

Ahead of the crucial assembly polls in UP next year, former IAS officer and state MLC AK Sharma known to be among Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aides, has been made the BJP's vice president in the state.

AK Sharma Hails from the eastern UP district of Mau.

Speculations were rife that Sharma would be made a minister in UP.  The speculations began following rumours that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath may be in trouble with the BJP leadership in Delhi over his government's handling of the pandemic.

Sharma thanked the national and state leadership for making him the vice president of Uttar Pradesh BJP in his tweet in Hindi.
