Paralympics: Nishad Kumar wins silver in High Jump, PM Modi lauds achievement

After Bhavinaben PatelNishad Kumar made India proud by clinching a silver medal in the T47 class of men’s high jump at the Paralympics. During the process, he equalled the Asian record with a best jump of 2.06M and shared the second place with American Dalas Wise.

The Joyful news left Prime Minister Narendra Modi delighted who congratulated Nishad on his win. The PM wrote that he is a remarkable athlete with outstanding skills and tenacity.

This is India's second silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, and first medal in Athletics.
