Decomposing bodies washed up on the banks of Ganga at Bihar's Buxar on Monday, causing panic among the locals. Dozens of bodies were seen floating in the river at Chausa town on Bihar's border with Uttar Pradesh. The bodies are believed to have floated down from neighbouring Uttar Pradesh and belong to Covid patients whose relatives were unable to find space to cremate or bury them.  Local administration believes the bodies were in the water for four to five days. ‘Need to investigate which UP town the bodies are from," a district official KK Upadhyay said. There is panic in the town over infection from the bodies and from the river water.
