Oscars producer Steven Soderbergh has opened up about their decision to switch the order of the awards and why he doesn't regret doing it even after attracting a lot of criticism.
The ceremony usually ends with the announcement of best picture winner but this year, it ended with best actor winner announcement.
Speaking about it to a leading Hollywood daily the producer said that the decision was taken out of a respectful conscience. He explained that since Chadwick was nominated there was a strong possibility that he could win and his widow would speak on his behalf. So, Chadwick Boseman’s nomination was the reason why Oscars show order was changed.
