Reports suggest smartphone maker OnePlus is planning to introduce new devices in the under-₹20,000 segment in India.

The affordable devices could reportedly be launched as early as next quarter, or as late as Q2 2022. Reports say Oppo is dictating the terms ever since OnePlus merged with the sister company, and as part of a shift in strategy, OnePlus will be launching sub-20k devices in India.

While OnePlus has garnered some success with its Nord devices, the models offered in India all cost more than ₹20,000, something the firm is reportedly looking to change.
