In Madhya Pradesh's Dhar district, two sisters from a tribal community were assaulted with sticks by their relatives for allegedly chatting with their uncle’s sons over the phone.
The perpetrators recorded a video of them flogging the two women and the Madhya Pradesh police have arrested seven people in connection with the barbaric incident.
The case came to light when the video went viral on social media platforms.
In the video, several people, including a woman, are seen hitting the victims with sticks and dragging them by their hair.
