Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSME Nitin Gadkari launched an eco-friendly, non toxic wall paint called Khadi Prakritik Paint, on Tuesday.
Developed by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, the paint is made with cow dung and reportedly has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
The first-of-its-kind product is free from metals like arsenic, cadmium and mercury, and is available in two forms- distemper paint and plastic emulsion paint.
The paint has received certification from Bureau of Indian Standards, a statement read.
