Apple's much awaited 3rd generation AirPods true wireless earbuds have been launched.
The new entry-level AirPods feature a design similar to the AirPods Pro, and come with a more rounded head and shorter stems. The stems also feature a Force sensor for pressure controls like the AirPods Pro, along with sweat and water resistance.
The new AirPods get a custom driver, high dynamic range amplifier for better bass and clean high frequencies. Apple has also provided AAC-ELD codec support for full HD voice quality for FaceTime calls. There's support for Adaptive EQ as well, that claims to tune sound in real time based on how the AirPods sit in the ears. Apart from this, the 3rd generation AirPods also support Dolby Atmos, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and the hands-free 'Hey Siri' feature.
When it comes to battery life, Apple claims the new AirPods can last up to an hour longer than previous generations, with up to six hours of listening time and up to four hours of talk time. It's worth noting that the new AirPods also come as standard with a case that supports Apple's MagSafe wireless charging protocol.
The new 3rd generation Apple AirPods cost ₹18,500 in India, and will be available from October 26.

Meanwhile, Apple also updated its HomePod mini smart speaker, which now comes in three new colourways--Orange, Blue and Yellow. Priced at ₹9,900, the new colours will be available from late November.
