In the latest hearing on a batch of pleas by 41 post-graduate doctors, Additional Solicitor General Aishwarya Bhati told SC bench that the Centre won't be implementing new pattern in this year's NEET-Super Speciality exam.

The petitions challenged the last-minute changes made in the syllabus after the notification was issued on July 23 by the Centre.

The Centre on Wednesday told the SC that in the interest of candidates, it was decided that changes in the pattern from of NEET-SS will be implemented from 2022 onwards.

This comes after SC had made sharp remarks and asked the government to put its "house in order" and take a call on reversing the changes made to this year's NEET-SS examination.

SC had slammed the Centre over NEET-SS exam pattern change, observing that medical education has become a business.
