Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu's Tuesday post on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raised speculation that he is warming up to the opposition party in Punjab ahead of the state assembly polls next year.

Sidhu wrote Arvind Kejriwal's party AAP had always ‘recognised his vision and work for Punjab’ and knows who is really fighting for the state.

Sidhu's tweet was in response to an old video clip of AAP leader Sanjay Singh praising him of quitting the BJP in 2017 and for raising his voice against the Akali Dal and the Parkash Singh Badal family that leads it.

However, another tweet soon followed quelling speculations that Singh is on his way to AAP. Sidhu’s next tweet likely revealed that his earlier posts were meant as sarcasm towards the Punjab Congress' rival, AAP and that he has actually buried his differences with CM Amarinder Singh
