Municipal workers of Biswanath and Gohpur held a protest outside the office of the Biswanath Deputy Commissioner, Dhrubajypti Das. Key demands included regularisation of all those workers on contract, clearing dues stuck from 3 to 27 months and clearing outstanding dues of all retired workers. The protest would continue till August 3, the workers’ unions informed.
