Amid the surge in Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra, migrant workers have started leaving Mumbai fearing another lockdown. Trains at Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak Terminus were seen packed with migrant workers on their way back home, news agency ANI reported. Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has asked the authorities to allay the fear of the migrants. A day earlier similar scenes were witnessed at Delhi'a interstate bus terminus where migrants were seen leaving fearing a lockdown after the night curfew in the Capital. Thousands of migrant workers had to walk 100s of kilometers in heat to reach their villages from cities during the last year's national lockdown.
