In an important milestone, the Statue of Unity in Gujarat's Kevadia has crossed the 50 lakh visitors mark, since it was inaugurated in 2018.

Dubbed as the world's tallest statue, it has become a hotspot for international tourists.

The tourist site reopened for the public on the 17th of October last year, after being closed for nearly 7 months due to the pandemic.

To enhance connectivity to Kevadia, 8 new trains from different parts of India were recently added. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a seaplane service between Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad and Statue of Unity.
